The Washington Capitals take on the red hot New York Rangers (11-4-1) tonight at home where the Capitals have yet to lose in regulation (4-0-1). The Rangers are the top team in the Eastern Conference and have won five of the past seven games.
- Mike "Game Over" Green had both game-winning goals in overtime in Washington's two victories against New York last year.
- Capitals fans will enjoy not seeing #68 out there. The last time the Capitals faced the Rangers without Jaromir Jagr was their last game before the lockout.
- New York is 7th in the league in goals. Ryan Callahan, Aaron Voros, Chris Drury, Markus Naslund, and Nikolai Zherdev all have five goals.
- The Rangers are 2nd in the league in shots averaging 32 per game.
- New York is 3rd in the NHL with a 90% PK percentage.
- Semin is the only Capital with more than five goals.
- Henrik Lundqvist is 7-2 (2.52 GAA, 91% save percentage) against Washington.
